Bevel alternative: recovery that turns into a training plan

Updated · 4 min read

Bevel brings recovery, sleep, strain and training load from your Apple Watch into one app. If you are looking for an alternative, the question is usually what happens after the morning score: does it change your training? And where does your health data go when you use the smarter features? Here is how Keho compares, on the points where it is as good or better.

Short answer

Keho is a Bevel alternative that turns recovery into a training plan. Its morning readiness verdict (0–10, from sleep, HRV, resting heart rate and training load) steers plans for running, cycling and yoga that ease off when you are not recovering. Keho has no account and no cloud feature: your health data never leaves your iPhone. Readiness is a one-time $4.99, Keho Coach $24.99 a year, against $99.99 a year for Bevel Pro.

Recovery that turns into a plan

In Keho, the morning verdict is the start, not the end. Next to it you see why it moved and today’s session. With Keho Coach, the plan listens: when your sleep, HRV or training load point to a tougher day, Keho offers easier options for the session or the week, and keeping the plan as it is stays an option. Plans run from a first 5K to a marathon, from a first 50 km ride to a gran fondo or gravel event, and yoga at home, as a plan of its own or around your runs and rides.

Your data stays on your iPhone

Bevel’s privacy policy says Apple Health data is not sent to its servers while Bevel Intelligence is off, and is stored there when it is on. Keho has no such trade-off: there is no Keho account and no server holding your biometrics, so every feature works with your data on your iPhone and in Apple Health.

Statistics for every sport

Keho’s core statistics are free forever: totals, trends and personal bests for every sport, heart-rate zones with your Zone 2 time, sleep stages, sleep debt and naps, workout maps and GPX and FIT export. Readiness, training load and form and the VO2max trend are the advanced statistics, a one-time $4.99 or included with any purchase.

Switching takes a few minutes

  1. Install Keho from the App Store. There is no account to create.
  2. Allow Apple Health. Keho reads the sleep, HRV, resting heart rate and workouts already there, so readiness can compare with your normal from the start.
  3. Pick a plan, if you want one. Choose running, cycling or yoga, your days and your level, and read week 1 before you buy.

Nothing is deleted in Bevel, and both apps can run side by side. If you use Bevel’s AI features today, your past chats stay with Bevel; Keho starts fresh, with everything computed on your iPhone.

Questions

Can I use Keho next to Bevel?

Yes. Both read Apple Health, so your history is in Keho from the first day.

How long until Keho’s readiness works?

Keho reads the history already in Apple Health, so if you have worn your watch at night it can compare with your normal right away. It stays quiet when there is not enough data.

Does Keho use AI on my data?

Keho computes on your iPhone. It sends no health data to a server for any feature.
